First Date Conversations

There are a lot of topics that you can talk about on a date, the list could be very long, and finding the right topic to use during the conversation can sometimes be difficult. This video clip by Darren Miller First Date Conversation Starters – Topics talks about simple methods to address that.

Girls are more comfortable around you when they find you friendly, and the topics you are talking about interest them or make’s them feel important. But there could be quite a very long list of conversation topics for you to choose from and this could prove very difficult. One technique Darren points out is by the use of a simple mnemonic of certain topics that’s not only easy to remember and apply, but can be very effective.

You should always remember though, that for this to be effective, you should easily be able to make it work like a flow chart, connect them, not sound awkward, and not to come on like you are investigating them.

Catching Up With An Old Friend

When you get a chance to see someone you have not seen in a long time – perhaps an old friend you are hoping to catch up with – you might think at first that there is nothing more to this than simply meeting up with them and having a good time, but before you head out to catch up with an old friend, there are a few things you will want to keep in mind first, in order to ensure that your time with them is successful!

When it comes to catching up with an old friend (and no, facebook does not count as “catching up”!), you will want to make sure you set up your time together so that it is open-ended; this means that you should give yourself the opportunity to hang out with them for longer than you were expecting to, just in case you both find you are having a great time.

Not only will you want to leave your schedule open in such a way that you will be able to have an open-ended hang out time, and not only will you want to choose a place where you will be able to have an open-ended hang out time, but it will also be good for you to make sure you choose a place to get together that will be conducive to conversation; this means that there should be enough ambient noise to make you both feel comfortable, but not so much that you cannot hear the other person as they talk!

And when it comes to hanging out with someone you have not seen in a while, one of the most important things is that you realize that they may not be the same person you remember; of course, they might, on the other hand, be the same person you remember, but by realizing the possibility that there may be changes (both in them and in you!), you will shield yourself from potential disappointment.

No matter whether you are catching up with an old friend from school, an old friend from work, or even someone you used to date, you can have a great deal of fun – and you can increase your chances of having a great deal of fun if you pay attention to these few simple things!

Tips For Making Your Relationship Work

For many people, one of the biggest keys in life for them is figuring out exactly what they can do (what they need to do!) in order to make their relationship work with their spouse or significant other; of course, this issue is complicated and has many layers – and for each couple (for each individual, for that matter), the exact answers to this issue will be different – but there are also a few specific things that any couple can keep in mind, and that will help them as they move through the process of making their relationship work.

Communication is the biggest key to making a relationship work, but while people seem to always hear this, they often are not given a totally clear picture of exactly what this means; in order to communicate effectively, the two people in the relationship must not only communicate by talking, but they must also communicate by listening! When the two people learn to express things and also listen to things, they will be setting their relationship on the right path for it to thrive for a long time to come.

Realizing that the other person is not your identity is another big key; too many couples get in the bad habit of allowing their identity to exist solely inside of what their relationship with the other person is, but in order for a relationship to work, it must be “give and take,” and in order for there to be “give and take,” each person in the relationship must be able to maintain a strong identity within their own self.

And striving to have fun together is perhaps the single best thing a couple can do. Many couples get in a place where each person takes everything so seriously that they never have fun, but having fun together is the rain that feeds the “relationship plant,” allowing it to thrive, and as you continue to have fun together as the years pass, the two of you will continue to enjoy one another within a strong relationship – a relationship that works!
